RMLP AWARDED MUTUAL AID COMMENDATION

APPA Mutual Aid Award certificate graphic

We have just been awarded another American Public Power Association Mutual Aid Commendation.. The Mutual Aid Commendation was established in 2018 to recognize public power utilities that have answered the call for assistance and aided other communities in restoring power to their customers.

Mutual Aid is at the heart of what Public Power utilities like RMLP do, and the public power community thanked us for stepping up to help neighbors in need—whether they are next door or thousands of miles away.

HOW RMLP KEEPS YOUR LIGHTS ON

ME Mutual Aid photo graphic

We realize that investing in preventative maintenance is an important part of a good plan to keep your electricity reliable in Rowley. Here’s a recent example: Rowley Municipal Lighting Plant’s installation of a new pole, new high voltage underground cable, and a new pad mount transformer for Route 1 Liquors Plaza in early June.

"REDUCE THE PEAK ALERT NOTIFICATIONS" EXPLAINED

RMLP Reduce The Peak Alert graphic

Rowley Municipal Lighting Plant occasionally issues “Reduce The Peak Alert Notifications”. These are usually activated due to projected high energy usage during a specific short period of time. During these periods, the price of buying electricity from our suppliers substantially increases. If customers voluntarily cut back at these times, it helps RMLP keep everybody’s longterm electric rates lower.

Get answers to your questions in our RMLP “Reduce The Peak Alert Notifications” flyer.
